What the bleep do we know

In 2009 the guys from Cosmic Spring had this brilliant idea to invite the first Dutch astronaut Wubbo Ockels into the studio and record some of his statements concerning sustainability. This inspired me to ask Wubbo Ockels for some English quotes and I used them in ‘What the bleep do we know’. The first single of my forth coming album.
The quotes that struck me most are ’the earth is our spaceship and we don’t have any spare parts’ and ‘we are all astronauts of spaceship earth’. I think only astronauts with an extraterrestrial experience can have this view on our Blue Planet!
Soon: the link to the iTunes store where you can buy the single CD, a fair share of the revenues go to the Dutch charity foundation ’Happy Energy’ initiated by Wubbo Ockels.

Manhatten Heliport short mp3 demo
Today I had the ‘Sax man’ (Hans Sulmann) in the studio!
And wow, he really blew me away with all his licks and sounds.
Now it’s time the listen to all the takes and cut and paste the pearls together. I will publish some stuff on Myspace very soon.

Started working on my album

After composing so much music for others it was about time that I started working on my own album. I selected 18 theme’s from my archives and started working on them a few weeks ago. It looks like it’s going to be a lounge album with an ‘edge’. I will invite several friends and guest players. An album title? I now use ‘Airport Lounge’ as a working title. If you have a better idea hey, let me know! I Googled a bit for pictures that would represent the atmosphere I like (for the time being… ) This one is a picture taken at Incheon International Airport, South Korea.
I’ll keep you posted on the progress and will publish pictures and demo’s in the near future.
